Perfect Balance

My ever-increasing acceptance of love, harmony and wisdom balances my life in body, mind and spirit. The law of good governs all of my actions. I have complete faith that there is no power but of God. I stand in faith, grounded in truth and flexible in thought.
There is no inaction or over action, there is only God-action, which is sustained in right direction, perfect order and perfect balance. This inner balance establishes balance in all that I do.
Joyfully living in this already completed demonstration, I give thanks and release it to the great Law of Mind that automatically responds by corresponding, and so it is!

WHO I AM

God formed itself as me. Every aspect of me and everything about me is Divine. I was born in original innocence. I am inherently blessed with freedom and joy and a spirit of love. The essence of who I am is love, wisdom and light. I live and move and have my being in God’s grace and glory.
Living in an atmosphere of love, harmony, beauty and understanding raises the vibration around me and the world vibration. Peace is the rhythm that keeps me in tune with the Divine Almighty and allows me to move smoothly and harmoniously through life. Unity and harmony create limitless possibilities, strengthen my vision and deepen my purpose. As I move forward, listening to “one voice,” my needs are met, answers are revealed and tremendous results are being achieved. I am grateful for this truth and the power of it. I release this to the great law of mind and let it be and so it is

Personal Peace

In this peace that holds me so gently, I find strength and protection from all fear or anxiety.
It is the peace of God, in which I feel the love of a Holy Presence.
I am so conscious of this love, this protection, that every sense of fear slips away from me as mist fades in the morning light.
I see good in everything, God personified in all people, Life manifest in every event.
Spirit is not separate from persons or events; I see that It unites everything with Itself, vitalizing all with the energy of Its own being, creating everything through Its own Divine imagination, surrounding everything with peace and quiet and calm.
I am one with this deep, abiding peace.

I know that all is wel

Can the Opposition Parties Wrestle Power From NDC in 2016?

In unity we stand but in division we fall! Let us look at this case scenario. There is a formidable army that has at its disposal an arsenal of modern weapons, money and teeming with spies that they can easily plant in the enemies' camp as moles.

Very weak and fragmented armies decided to take on the strong army. They felt as many and fragmented as they are, they can fight the stronger army from different sides, thus, the eastern, western, northern and southern flanks, at the same time. They believe by their method, the stronger army will be confused if not overwhelmed by their tactic, to send them into disarray and subsequently defeat them.

Will their tactic work, as fragmented and confused as they are? Will they not be stronger if they pulled their forces together to face their common enemy? Because they are not united, they face the uphill battle of getting people to have trust to invest in them to enable them defeat their enemy. They feel it is a waste of money, time and energy to hope on them to achieve any meaningful success with regard to defeating their common enemy.

Let us relate this to the numerous opposition parties in Ghana. Do they all accept the fact that the NDC is toying with Ghana; embezzling public funds, incurring unprecedented national debt for Ghana through reckless loans that she takes with the subsequent dubious squandering of same loans?

Does, say PNC or PPP hope to win election 2016 on their own? Are they living in the real world should they honestly entertain the hope of winning the election on their own? They can aspire to win the election but to believe that they can, will amount to one living in the fantasy world.

Do the opposition political parties acknowledge the fact that the NDC as a government and party have ruined the economy of Ghana and so do sincerely want to see them booted out of office? If they do, then they have the obligation to unite now to face off NDC, their common wayward opponent or political enemy. They should not wait until the first round of the election has been conducted before they decide to unite against NDC in any likely runoff election. It may be too late by then.

Has experience not taught us a bitter lesson? Have we learnt any lesson from that experience? What was the experience I have in mind? In the 2008 presidential and parliamentary elections, many a sympathiser of NPP did not vote during the first round. They thought, as usual, consumed by COMPLACENCY that NPP and Nana Akufo Addo were going to win the elections hands down. When the unexpected happened, and there was to be a runoff, they started running helter-skelter, making frantic efforts to go and vote for Nana Akufo Addo BUT IT WAS TOO LATE. The harm was already done hence the corruption and the economic hardships faced by Ghanaians today.

I am always not straight forward. Do the reading public get the message I am trying to pass to Ghanaians, especially the leaders of the opposition parties?

Rickson Adobo always speaks in parables and it is up to the reader to either ask him to explain them or crack the enigma themselves.

Have I become your enemy for telling you the truth? Do you kill the messenger? I shall continue to guide you to the right political path regardless of any reservations you may have.

Cedi to end year at GH¢4 to a Dollar

The Ghana cedi could now end the year at a rate of between GH¢3.92 and GH¢4.00 to the US dollar, Business Finder can confirm.

It started the year at GH¢3.25 to the American currency, meaning it will lose 75 pesewas in value by December 31, 2015.

Last week, the local currency lost grounds to the American currency to the close the week at about GH¢3.86. It had depreciated in value by 15.3 percent to the US Dollar since January 1, 2015.

Ecobank Research says it expects the volatile currency to weaken in value by a further 3 percent in the remainder of the year, meaning the Cedi’s year-to-date depreciation to the dollar will be about 18.30 percent.

Investment firm, Investcorp, however, maintains its cedi depreciation prediction of 19.20 percent to the world’s most important currency by December 31, 2015.

It says high budget deficit coupled with declining commodity prices and strong import demand during the Christmas festivities will push the value of the Ghana cedi further down.

The Ecobank Research analysis titled ‘Ghana: The Policy Tightening Cycle Continues’ said strong import demand, lower than expected oil revenues, and falling gold receipts will pose downside risks to the cedi.

It explained that the decision by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to increase its policy rate by 100 basis points was surprising given that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) supported reforms and recent monetary policy tightening is starting to yield positive results.

It stated that the positive impact of the foreign exchange injections mainly from the Cocobod syndication and the Eurobond is beginning to wear off. “Cocobod proceeds are earmarked for cocoa crop inputs and the Eurobond proceeds are largely being used to pay-off earlier Eurobond debt. The Ministry of Finance has suggested that it could issue another Eurobond, for $500million, but this is likely to be insufficient to meet foreign exchange obligations given strong import demand.”

Moreover, the Central Bank sales of extra US dollars is not sustainable given that foreign exchange reserves are just above the IMF’s minimum recommended level of 3.0 months of equivalent imports as of end-October 2015

Arsenal and Chelsea to be slapped with transfer bans by Fifa – report

Arsenal and Chelsea are set to be slapped with transfer bans by Fifa, say reports in Spain.
The two London clubs could face a punishment alongside Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and ‘other big clubs in Europe’, according to AS.
La Liga giants Barcelona are nearing the end of their two-year ban for breaking rules in the signing of players under 18 – and it’s been suggested that English clubs were guilty of the same practice.
Barca attempted to set aside their ban with the Court of Arbitration in Sport but were denied – so if the ban is applied to the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, it’s thought that avenue would be closed for them as well.
Fifa decided to ban Real Madrid for two transfer windows in July but have not yet imposed the sanctions

Power Barge Not Expected To End Load Shedding

The Power Minister, Dr. Kwabena Donkor, has stated at the inaugural ceremony of the Karpower barge's docking in Tema that “the arrival of this barge will not solve all our problems”.

At the ceremony, which was held on Sunday, November 29, the Minister entreated Ghanaians not to be over-expectant that the power barge will end ‘dumsor’ overnight as it is only one part of the many interventions towards ending the energy crisis that has adversely affected the nation for over three years.

“It will make a contribution. As we speak the 250MW power project at Aboadze is also proceeding and indeed that is even bigger than the Karpower ship… the KTPP Plant 220 MW is also at completion stage and TICO 120MW steam expansion has been completed.

"TAPCO has gone through the full combine cycle and a lot is happening in the sector. We do ourselves and Ghana a disservice when we focus only on the power barge,” the Power Minister added.

Dr. Donkor lauded Mr. Armah Kofi Buah, under whose leadership the contract got executed towards providing extra power to be connected to the national grid.

“I would want to take this opportunity to mention one particular person without whose leadership and dynamism this will never have come into place – the Minister of Petroleum, who initiated this project.”

“It is better late than never. At least it has arrived. Those who felt it will never arrive at least will take consolation in the fact that when government says it will deliver, it delivers.”

Industry players are estimating that the Karpower barge will sell power at 12 cents per unit, which is equivalent to 44 pesewas.

The emergency barge is expected to deliver 225MW of power to ease the load shedding regime

Mixed feelings for Michael Carrick

Mixed feelings for Michael Carrick

Michael Carrick is glad to be back in action for Manchester United sooner than he initially expected - but disappointed that his return wasn't a winning one.
The 34-year-old midfielder made his 11th start of the season in the Reds' 1-1 draw with Leicester City, having missed the previous two matches in seven days at home to PSV Eindhoven and away to Watford.
After Saturday evening's game, Carrick admitted he had feared being out for longer when he was stretchered off with an ankle injury during England's friendly against Spain in Alicante three weeks ago.
"I thought it was a bad one at the time, but the scan showed that there wasn’t too much damage," Carrick told MUTV. "After the swelling went down, I was free to get back involved. I'm fine now."
Carrick played the full 90 minutes against Leicester alo
ngside Bastian Schweinsteiger and later shared his colleague's frustration at United's inability to build on the German's equaliser on the brink of half-time.
"We felt that we would be better in the second half and that that we would push on and look to win the game like we always do," continued Carrick in his MUTV interview.
"We thought if we kept playing then the [winning] goal would come but we never really got enough clear-cut chances, just a couple of bits and pieces from set-plays.
"To get back into the game after going one goal down, especially with the form Leicester are in, we could maybe take positives from that. But really we’re disappointed with the result as we came here to win the game."
While the Carrick-Schweinsteiger axis at the heart of United's team was familiar, the rest of the formation was different with Louis van Gaal deploying three central defenders behind them and utilising Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young as wing-backs. Further forward, Juan Mata supported a front pairing of Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.
"I thought it was fine and we controlled most of the game," replied Carrick when asked about the 3-4-1-2 system.
"Leicester had a few breaks and were quick on the counter-attack, there was always that threat and we had to deal with it. But apart from their goal, I felt that we were in control.
"We just needed to find that winner and we couldn’t do that. We are not satisfied with that [four points from the last two away games]. Regardless of our win last week, we came here to win this game too.
"Seeing the way the game went we feel that we’ve let that slip. We’ll take the point because it’s not an easy place to come, but we feel that we should have taken the three points

The charge is underway

Fri 27 Nov 2015
Jose Mourinho's Chelsea powered to a 4-0 win in Israel on Tuesday night, brushing aside Macc
abi Tel Aviv to go within touching distance of the Champions League's last 16.
Had results in other matches turned out differently, we'd have sealed our qualification. But Porto's home defeat to Dynamo Kiev in Tuesday's other Group G game meant it wasn't to be just yet, even though Chelsea have full control over how the group ends up. We know that three points at home to the Portuguese side next month will ensure top spot.
As English clubs have found in the past, first place will likely bring with it a more favourable draw for the first knockout round. Fingers crossed, anyway. We'll have to beat Europe's biggest clubs to win this competition again, but perhaps it's preferable to wait to meet the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich as late on in the competition as possible.
Tuesday's victory was at times tough to come by, but the result itself will be another massive shot in the arm to our group of players after the weekend win over Norwich. Goals from Gary Cahill, Willian, Oscar and Kurt Zouma ensured it would be a happy trip home to London, and that's two consecutive wins chalked up, complete with an improving level o
Perhaps Maccabi weren't the toughest side we'll face this season - to put it nicely - but you can only play what's in front of you. We initially found it a challenge to pull clear of the determined opposition, but quality eventually told and matters were made notably easier when former Blues defender Tal Ben-Haim was sent off in the first half.
Notching up four goals will be great for the confidence, but a tough-looking derby encounter with Tottenham awaits us on Sunday. It'll be a big test of our credentials, especially considering Mauricio Pochettino's side are unbeaten in the Premier League since the opening day of the season.
Spurs faced a 5,000 mile round trip to Azerbaijan to play in the Europa League on Thursday
night against Qarabag, so looking at Sunday's match in that sense, Chelsea have a distinct advantage in terms of pre-match rest and preparation. It doesn't always tell on the field and ultimately it might not make much difference in a derby game such as this one - but it's a comforting thought for a Chelsea fan.
Another comfort comes from the fact Chelsea have fallen to defeat just once in their last 12 matches against Spurs - dating back to the 2010/11 season. It's quite an incredible record, and one of our finest memories from last season came as the Blues cast Spurs aside at Wembley to lift the Capital One Cup.
White Hart Lane will be a tough place to visit. And while it does look as though we'll be without injured captain John Terry, Chelsea have enough strength in depth to cope with the loss. Zouma has been particularly impressive in his recent appearances and has proven himself perfectly capable of scoring a goal, while the team as a whole haven't conceded in their last two matches.
Willian's mighty goalscoring form shows no signs of slowing up and Eden Hazard is starting to flourish in his newly acquired central attacking midfield role, while Diego Costa got back among the goals with the winner against the Canaries last weekend. This match will be a challenge, but the Blues are on the right path and have every reason to be confident of a third consecutive win.
Let's get behind the team and show Tottenham that Chelsea's charge up the Premier League table is truly underway.

Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea

There is no John Terry but Branislav Ivanovic returns to the starting line-up at right-back and will captain the side, with Cesar Azpilicueta moving back to the left-hand side. Kurt Zouma starts alongside Gary Cahill in the centre of defence.

Movie is selling Ghana than music – Socrate Safo

Ghanaian movie maker Socrate Safo has opined that movies sell Ghana international than music. Socrate in a chat with Christian Agyei Frimpong on TV3 owned radio station, 95.1 said most tourists come to Ghana because of the beautiful pictures they see in the local movies.

“A lot of tourists come down here to pump money into our country most times. All these foreigners when you ask how they got to hear about Ghana, I can tell you from experience that it is movie.

New York is my second and hose who distribute films there are Ghanaians, not Nigerians. One of them that I mostly communicate with is Rabiu Mohamed. If I’m with him in his shop, I realize those that come to buy the movies are not Ghanaians. They are Surinamese, Jamaicans, and other people. The thing they like most is Ghanaian movies.

Sometimes my friend introduces me to some of these people that I’m a Ghanaian movie producer and many of them ask much about our country. I can tell you for a fact that many of these small scale tourists who want to travel outside their countries follow audiovisuals than songs.

Most of these people who do not understand our language do not follow music but because of the nature of movies, they watch and follow the story. The more they watch and follow the story, the more they fall in love with the society or the culture. Even if you watch the pictures, the location and other things like that appeals to you.

As I am talking to you today, most of Ghanaian ladies who watch telenovelas would like to travel to Mexico because of what they see. Americans have sold their country through their movies. That is why I said that when we talk of marketing Ghana, audiovisuals sell more than the music” Socrate Safo explained

Lyrical Jibes good for Music – Reggie Rockstone

The “Godfather” of Hiplife music in Ghana, Reggie Rockstone known in private life as Reginald Yaw Asante Osei has defended lyrical jibes commonly called “Beef” in the Ghanaian music industry stating that it is healthy for its growth.

Various music artistes have lately resorted to attacking each other with their lyrics for reasons unknown making it look like they are at war to fans.

But Reggie Rockstone indicates that the war of words among musicians, adds spice to the industry and he sees nothing wrong for Ghanaian musicians to engage in the practice.

“Beef is good for music. It actually adds spice to the industry once the musicians themselves do not engage in physical fisticuffs or fight”, he said.

Speaking at a press soiree ahead of the biggest musical concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, November 28, 2015, dubbed “Tigo Unplugged”, the Hiplife Grandpapa disclosed that he will not condemn the practice but urged those in it to be decorous.

Beef has over the years been enjoyed by Music lovers in Ghana as fans constantly keep their fingers crossed and enjoy the fracas while the parties involved strive at all cost to find punch lines to hit their opponent.

It takes the form of burlesque music videos, stage mannerisms and sometimes entire albums are dedicated to the coveted battle.

Major beefs recorded in Ghana are Obrafour and Lord Kenya.

It all started when they both claimed ownership of the title “Heavyweight champion”. Lord Kenya first called Obrafour “Tico”.’The Executioner’ replied by calling Kenya “Tipa” and later on “Sakora”. They hit each other so hard by revealing each other’s past in their songs. In the heat of events, Ex-doe’s “MABA” and Chicago’s “WOBE K)” beef became the talk of town when the earlier close pals took each other on.

Dancehall King Samini’s beef with the D-styler K.K Fosu also gained prominence where the latter claimed he ‘made’ the former. This did not auger well with Samini. That triggered him to release “IGWE” which featured Mugeez of R2bees. Kontihene and Kwaw Kese had never met but beefed each other from different studios. It was a typical no-nonsense lyrical battle. Mad fish and Kwaw Kese both battled over the title “Abodam (MADNESS)”.The ‘Obia nye Obia’ man, Sydney was taken on by Borax at a point in the game. Groups have witnessed internal squabbles that has brought about the total demise of the group or just a mere tearing away of some key members. Talk of Friction from VIP, Praye Tintin from Praye and the separation of Buk Bak and Wutah and you would not be far from right. Agbeko No. 9 took on Ayigbe Edem in the music world regardless of their common Anlo descent. He claimed Edem orchestrated his dismissal by hammer from the Last 2 Camp.

In recent years, the game has been hotter in terms of beef. Headlining the parade is that between Obrafour and Okyeame Kwame. Obrafour did not come to terms with the title ‘BEST RAPPER ALIVE’ Kwame had bestowed upon himself and threw hot punchlines on the controversial ’ kasiebo’ song at Okyeame Kwame and Obour with the able contribution of the upcoming rapper GURU. Okyeame Kwame(The Rap Doctor) had a press release to that effect stating clearly 10 reasons why he wouldn’t reply Obrafour.

ASEM versus R2bees & Sarkodie is a battle everyone would want to watch. Asem released ‘No more Kpayor’ and ‘Fylla’ whiles the Tema-based musicians released ‘T.E.M.A’ and ‘Fair warning’. Other rappers like Yaa Pono took on Asem during the controversial rape scandal.

Kwaw Kese has beefed the likes of Asem and John Germain on his ‘Killer bewu last show’. He is on record to have said in the song that Out of hunger,Asem signed on GLO.He also called Germain ‘Jon jimijimi’ on that same song.Asem also said in the ‘Fylla’ song that he was proud because Kwaw had turned into his P.R.O and so he always mentioned his name everywhere he went. It has become that bad that Kwaw went to the extent of walking out on the ’celebrity soccer show’ just because he was supposed to be on set with Jon Germain, the Allo Tigo Host who has been a strong critic of “the man insane”.

Castro and Tinny blew the ‘beef air’ when tinny did not buy the idea that Castro was the ’50 Cent’ of GH as he claimed by saying in one of his songs that he had never seen a ’50 cent’ who dances ‘Mapouka’

Samini ‘begs’ in other to pay workers

Samini on Saturday morning joined friends and fans in Dansoman for a clean-up exercise to ride his neighborhood of filth.

After the clean up, Samini took to the streets to ‘beg’ for money or coins from drivers so that he can give the outcome to the guys who helped him make the exercise a success.

He took to Instagram to thank all who helped and dropped coins in his hat.

Sarkordie's Throw Back

After making hits for other artistes and himself, the Tema pioneer is about to release his second most important album--the highly anticipated ‘Rapacholic’.
His current album ‘Makye’, has produced fan-favorites, including ‘Baby’, ‘Push’, ‘Alter’ and ‘Borga’, which are presently gaining momentum at radio stations, parties and nite clubs.
His 'Lay Away' song with label mate, Sway showed how rapid, his 'fire flow' can be.
Loyal Sarkodie fans, who have been following the motormouth hiphop/hiplife emcee since the days of “Kasahare Level” hosted by Dr. Duncan on Adom FM are always thrilled when they see him now.
Although he's known for his machine-gun raps, Sarkodie was able to gun down 5 awards out of eight nominations at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards with his maiden album as a underground artiste.
